Behind the Scenes: Zach

This shoot was super fresh! We had done a bunch of scouting the day prior and literally hit like seven different districts all around Seattle. It was some intense driving/walking to say the least. With Zach in mind, this spot in South Downtown was perfect. Rep'n modern, 80's inspired gear, Zach brought down a portion of his shoe collection and a few different wardrobe set ups and we almost immediately began snapping shots. Our locale was so diverse for being within an area about the size of a city block that we didn't have to drive elsewhere to get a complete shoot with a ton of texture. As the smooth operator of Pacific Standard Times (PSTBLG), his underground hip-hop and fashion website, Zach came in hot with a fresh and urban flavor that came through in every frame. It was a pleasure to work with him and easily became one of my favorite shoots. Check out his stuff and follow him on twitter @zisforzachary.

Once we got the frames loaded into the computer we set out with this old Nike image in mind when developing the color treatment and grit of the final images. It took some tweaking, and trial and error, but once it clicked into place, we couldn't wait to get the images up. I hope you enjoy what you see!
